Wilfried Zaha could follow Cristiano Ronaldo to Saudi Arabia

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha could move to Saudi Arabia this summer, according to the Evening Standard.

He reportedly has three offers from the Saudi Pro League. Al-Hillal, Al-Ittihad and an unnamed club are considering signing Zaha and he can join for free.

Zaha is in the final year of his contract at Palace and will likely leave the club this summer. He has not disclosed his next destination, but he has offers on the table.

The 30-year-old could reportedly follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo and move to Saudi Arabia.

Zaha has already rejected multiple contract offers from Palace, who are desperate to keep their talisman.

AC Milan are also interested in the tricky wide man, but he is more interested in being another big-name signing in the Saudi league.

Ronaldo signed a massive £165-million-a-year deal when he joined Al-Nassr in December following his departure from Manchester United.

Saudi Arabian clubs now want more high-profile signings after seeing the 38-year-old forward’s impact on overseas viewing figures, stadium attendance and general domestic interest in football.

Ronaldo has reportedly attracted TV deals from almost 40 new countries. His transfer has European and South American talents considering transfers to Saudi Arabia.

Despite the Eagles working to increase Zaha’s current contract there is no sign of renewal, with his heart set on a departure.

That leverage they had expires in June. Palace fans will lose one of their best players in modern history.

Zaha has made 450 appearances for the London club across different spells. He scored 89 goals and assisted 76 in that time.

He has netted six goals and two assists in 19 league appearances for Palace this term.

Zaha could join former European stars such as David Ospina, Helder Costa and Grzegorz Krychowiak in Saudi Arabia.

The Saudis believe he can become the second most important player in the region.
