Manchester United are set to be without Harry Maguire, Anthony Martial and Antony for their upcoming game against Barcelona, according to The Athletic.
The Red Devils welcome Barca to Old Trafford for the second leg of their Europa League play-off tie on Thursday with a place in the round of 16 on the line.
The first leg delivered end-to-end entertainment, with both sides playing out a 2-2 draw after a pulsating second-half display that saw Marcus Rashford continue his rich vein of form.
The second leg is poised to deliver more of the same, but United will be without former club captain Maguire, Martial and summer signing Antony for the crunch tie.
The trio missed United’s 3-0 win over Leicester City at the weekend and may also have to sit out Thursday night’s encounter due to injury.
Maguire was an unused substitute in the reverse fixture, but both Antony and Martial have been absent since the beginning of February.
The club captain is struggling with a knee problem, while Antony, who has missed United’s last four games, is out with a leg injury.
Martial, who is enduring yet another injury-ridden campaign and has been in and out of the squad, is currently nursing a hip problem – his fifth setback of the season.
Scott McTominay, who was on a long list of injured United players, made his return from injury as a 59th-minute substitute in the win over Leicester.
The Scotsman had not played since the tail end of January and will need to build his fitness, but is in contention to feature against Barca.
Meanwhile, in other news that will come as a boost to Ten Hag’s side, Marcel Sabitzer and Lisandro Martinez will be available for the tie, having missed the trip to Spain through suspension.
