Chelsea retain interest in Jude Bellingham despite Enzo Fernandez transfer

Chelsea want to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham despite spending over £500 million in the last two transfer windows, according to The Telegraph

The club owners admire the England international midfielder after watching him play for England at the 2022 World Cup.

Even though there are doubts about whether Chelsea can qualify for the Champions League next season, they want to sign the former Birmingham City star.

While Chelsea know they are behind their rivals in the race for Bellingham, they have established contact with his entourage.

Chelsea recently broke the English transfer record by signing Enzo Fernandez from Benfica. However, it will not stop them from pursuing more big-money midfield signings.

Real Madrid are the favourites to sign Bellingham and are preparing for a summer move. Manchester City and Liverpool are also interested.

Dortmund will demand around €150 million for Bellingham, who has established himself as one of the finest midfield talents since moving to Germany.

Bellingham has starred in the Bundesliga and Champions League for Dortmund. He was also impeccable at the World Cup as England reached the quarter-finals.

BVB are resigned to losing Bellingham this summer, but they will try to get as much money as possible.

Bellingham has two upcoming opportunities to impress his English admirers. Dortmund face Chelsea in their Champions League round of 16 showdown over the next few weeks.
