This was a very eventful derby at Goodison Park. The visitors led twice but were pegged back each time.
Sadio Mane’s opener was cancelled out by Michael Keane’s header, but Mohamed Salah volleyed Liverpool back in front.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin responded with a brilliant strike to earn a share of the spoils for the Toffees.
February 2021 – Everton shine at Anfield
Everton produced an outstanding performance at Liverpool in this derby, claiming their first win at Anfield since 1999.
Richarlison grabbed an early opener before substitute Gylfi Sigurdsson added another from the spot late in the game.
The Reds had their chances, but they failed to convert.
December 2021 – Salah notches a brace
Liverpool news headlines were dominated by Salah following a masterclass from the Egyptian at Goodison Park.
Early goals from Jordan Henderson and Salah put Jurgen Klopp’s side in the driving seat. Demarai Gray restored some hope by pulling a goal back ahead of the interval.
But Salah killed the game off by netting another in the 64th minute, while Diogo Jota added his name to the scoresheet afterwards.
April 2022 – Origi torments Everton once again
The Toffees frustrated their opponents for over an hour with a solid defensive display, but Andy Robertson broke the deadlock by heading home Salah’s cross.
Divock Origi came off the bench to torment Everton once again by scoring another goal with five minutes remaining.
September 2022 – Superb performance from the two goalkeepers
Both sides created plenty of chances, but the scoreline remained the same until the end thanks to the brilliance of the two goalkeepers.
Jordan Pickford grabbed all the Everton news headlines, denying Roberto Firmino on three separate occasions.
Alisson also made two outstanding saves to frustrate Neal Maupay and Dwight McNeil.
