Brighton star Caicedo returns to training after failed move to Arsenal

Brighton & Hove Albion star Moises Caicedo has returned to training after failing to seal a move to Arsenal in January.

The 21-year-old was desperate to secure a move away from the Amex Stadium. He even expressed his wish in an open letter on Instagram.

However, the midfielder ended up staying with the Seagulls determined to keep him.

The Gunners made an improved bid worth £70 million after their first offer was rejected.

But that was also turned down by Brighton who remained firm on their stance.

Arsenal turned their attention to Jorginho and managed to secure his services on an 18-month contract

According to BBC Sport, Caicedo has returned to training after being left out of the squad for the FA Cup clash with Liverpool last Sunday.

The 21-year-old is currently contracted to the Seagulls until June 2025.

But as per Teradeportes.com, the Ecuadorian knows three clubs are interested, and they will bid for him in the summer transfer window.

It is also claimed that Brighton will have no choice but to sell him.

Caicedo has made significant progress in the last few years. He made an impressive start to the season, starting 18 Premier League matches.

The hugely talented midfielder also played all three group matches for Ecuador at the 2022 World Cup.

He scored a goal against Senegal, but their journey in Qatar ended in the group stage.
