Tottenham’s Lucas Moura wants £150k-a-week deal amid interest from several Premier League clubs

Lucas Moura could leave Tottenham Hotspur this month amid interest from several Premier League clubs.

The 30-year-old’s current contract expires next summer. Spurs reportedly want to sell him now rather than allow him to leave for free next summer.

According to The Sun, Everton, Crystal Palace and Southampton are all keen on Moura.

But he wants a £150,000-a-week deal which could prove to be a big stumbling block in the way of a transfer.

The Brazilian has been on the fringes of the squad this season. He hasn’t started any league match under Antonio Conte this term but has been featured off the bench on eight occasions.

The north Londoners are willing to let him leave before the transfer deadline. But his wage demands are making most of the suitors wary.

His salary demands look unlikely to be met

Moura has previously enjoyed huge success with Tottenham.

One of his most memorable moments came in the 2019 Champions League semi-final when he scored an unbelievable hat-trick to help his side reach the final.

However, his importance at the club is significantly reduced, and he is struggling for game time.

Considering his recent performances and age, Moura’s wage demands are unlikely to be met by any of his suitors.

Everton and Southampton are currently battling relegation, while Palace are not completely safe either.

They need to sign players in the January transfer window to boost their chances of survival, but a deal for Moura looks unlikely.
