PSG continue talks with Inter over Skriniar’s transfer in January, Zenit’s Malcom on the radar

Paris Saint-Germain will continue their negotiations with Inter Milan for Milan Skriniar’s transfer in January despite having reached a total agreement over his free transfer next summer, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Les Parisiens came close to securing the services of the Slovak last summer, only to be thwarted by Inter who were steadfast on their valuation.

The Nerazzurri have been trying to convince Skriniar to sign an extension over the last few months, with his current deal expiring next summer.

However, their efforts have ended in vain as Skriniar has declined the offer and reportedly agreed to join PSG on a free transfer next summer.

But the Ligue 1 champions are now working on his potential arrival in January in a bid to boost their defence.

Inter are demanding around €20 million to part ways with Skriniar this month.

Les Parisiens appear to have secured their long-term target. Skriniar has been at the top of football advisor Luis Campos’ wish list for some time now.

The 27-year-old has established himself as one of the best centre-backs in Serie A over the years, winning the Scudetto in the 2020/21 campaign, a Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.

Talks planned for Zenit’s Malcom

Zenit St Petersburg forward Malcom has been linked with a return to Ligue 1, with PSG identifying him as a top target to reinforce the attack following the departure of Pablo Sarabia to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Italian transfer expert Romano claims that PSG will hold a new round of talks with Zenit to discuss the transfer of the Brazilian winger.

The former Bordeaux star is keen on making a switch to Parc des Princes.

Malcom was on the brink of moving to AS Roma before Barcelona hijacked the deal and signed him in 2018.

He joined the Russian giants Zenit the following year after struggling for game time under former Barca manager Ernesto Valverde.

The 25-year-old has been in red-hot form this season, scoring 12 goals in 17 appearances in the Russian Premier League.
