Nice leading the race for Arsenal target Mykhalo Mudryk

Nice are reportedly leading the race to sign Mykhalo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 21-year-old has shown tremendous progress in the last few years, with his performances attracting interest from several English clubs, including Arsenal

The Gunners tried to sign him in the summer transfer window but failed to get a deal over the line.

Mudryk has publicly expressed his desire to play in the Premier League, but Nice are currently in pole position to secure his signature, according to The Sun

The Ligue 1 club are ready to pay around £25 million, but Donetsk want almost double.

Brentford are also keen on the winger, but they will wait to see if the Ukrainian outfit progress to the Champions League knock-out stage as failure to do so could lower their asking price.

The Gunners need a quality winger

Arsenal have made a strong start to the new season as they are currently top of the Premier League standings with seven wins from eight matches.

They strengthened their defensive and forward ranks in the summer, and the result is there for all to see.

However, they still need a quality winger, and that’s where Mudryk comes in.

The Ukraine international has scored two goals and contributed two assists in two Champions League matches this season.

He has also started four league matches for Donetsk, earning two assists to his name.

Arsenal should try to sign him in the winter window.
