Roma manager Jose Mourinho is eager to acquire the services of Wilfried Zaha, according to GOAL.
The report adds that Zaha has been offered by his agent to the Serie A side but they would have to part ways with some attackers before any potential move can be made.
With Nicolo Zaniolo all but set to leave the club amid interest from Juventus, Roma are looking to bolster their options at the top end of the pitch.
Off the back of their triumph in the inaugural edition of the UEFA Conference League back in May, the Giallorossi will head into the 2022/23 campaign with the wind in their sails as they look to secure a long-awaited return to the Champions League.
One of the stars at the Stadio Olimpico during the just-concluded campaign was Tammy Abraham, who only joined from Chelsea last summer and it is no surprise that Roma are now looking to add another Premier League player to their ranks in Zaha.
Mourinho certainly knows a lot about the Ivorian having come up against him during his time in the dugout at Chelsea and Manchester United.
Zaha enjoyed his best-ever goalscoring campaign last time out as he netted 15 times in 37 games across all competitions for Crystal Palace.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a move away from Selhurst Park on a number of occasions in the past but his current employers have often rejected any attempt to snap him up, most notably from Arsenal back in 2019.
However, with Zaha now approaching the final 12 months of his current contract, it is highly unlikely that he will sign a new deal so this summer represents perhaps the final chance for Patrick Vieira’s men to recoup a significant fee for the winger and avoid losing him for free next year.
