Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has revealed that a decision over his future in the French capital will be announced very soon.
Mbappe is in the final few months of his contract at Parc des Princes and Real Madrid are looking to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu as a free agent in the upcoming transfer window.
A recent report claimed that the ex-Monaco man had reached an agreement with PSG over a two-year contract extension worth €200million but his mother has since come out to squash those rumours.
Mbappe has been brilliant for Mauricio Pochettino’s men this term having racked up 36 goals and 26 assists in 45 games across all competitions.
It was no surprise to see him named the best player in Ligue 1 for the third season in a row last night when the 23-year-old went on to issue an update on his long-term future.
“I can’t say about my future but you’ll know very soon… it’s almost decided,” Mbappe said.
“This isn’t the right moment but yes, yes… my decision is almost done.
“I will officially announce my decision on the future before I join the France national team in June.
“Why was I so slow? You have to respect all parties.
“I know that people expected a lot from me. I’m in a hurry too. But it’s not only about me.
“But here it is, it’s finished right now, there are just some details left.”
Per the reliable Fabrizio Romano, Madrid are feeling more confident than ever about securing a move for Mbappe with Los Blancos having already missed out on the Manchester City-bound Erling Haaland.
