Juventus set to open talks with PSG winger Angel Di Maria

Juventus are keen to improve the quality of their squad as they are set to open talks with the PSG winger Angel Di Maria.

With just a few weeks remaining until this year’s Serie A campaign ends Juventus are keen to improve the quality of their squad.

According to Calciomercato, they are set to open talks with Paris Saint-Germain winger Angel Di Maria whose contract expires at the end of the season.

With PSG reportedly having no intention of offering him a contract extension, the 34-year-old is poised to end his magnificent seven-year stay in France.

Di Maria’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has been working tirelessly to promote his client to European clubs.

Juventus are now pushing to initiate contract talks and may offer the veteran attacker a short-term contract worth €5 million per season.

With Di Maria’s current deal expiring this summer, the Old Lady want to sign the forward on a free transfer.

Since arriving from Madrid in 2015, Di Maria has played a significant role for PSG, demonstrating consistency through his fine-tuned dribbling, incredible pace and prolific goalscoring ability.

The Argentinian international has bagged 91 goals and 117 assists in 292 appearances across all competitions.

He helped PSG clinch five Ligue 1 titles and reach the Champions League final for the first time in their history in 2020.

With Paulo Dybala and Federico Bernardeschi set to depart Turin this summer, club officials believe the winger’s creativity would fit seamlessly alongside Dusan Vlahovic.
