Nkunku has enjoyed a stellar campaign so far, racking up 30 goals and 19 assists across all competitions for Die Roten Bullen, who have progressed into the last four of the Europa League.
In all of Europe’s top five leagues, only Robert Lewandowski, Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe have directly contributed to more goals than Nkunku’s tally of 49.
Manchester United and Liverpool are rumoured to be keen on landing the 24-year-old, while there is also talk about a potential return to Paris Saint-Germain where Nkunku left three years ago in search of more playing time.
His performances this term have not gone unnoticed as AC Milan become the latest heavyweights to be credited with an interest in the French international.
The Rossoneri are in the middle of a proposed €1.02billion takeover by Bahraini group Investcorp, who have kicked off talks with current owners Elliott Management.
Investcorp are also reportedly looking to embark on a €300m spending spree in the upcoming summer window to keep the club competing at the highest level going forward.
Sebastien Haller, Nicolo Zaniolo, Renato Sanches and Aurelien Tchouameni have all been linked with a move to the San Siro outfit, who are close to snapping up Divorck Origi as well as Sven Botman.
In the meantime, Milan are focused on securing their first Serie A title in 11 years off the back of Friday’s 2-0 victory over Genoa courtesy of goals in either half from Rafael Leao and Junior Messias.
Milan now sit two and five points clear of Inter and Napoli respectively in the race for the Scudetto, albeit having played a game more than the aforementioned duo as the season enters into its final knockings.
