Juventus identify three alternatives for exit-linked Chiellini including Chelsea star

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has recently hinted about an exit this summer, prompting the Old Lady to seek defensive reinforcements.

The 37-year-old has a contract running until 2023, but Italy’s failure to qualify for World Cup might have led him to have second thoughts about his future.

Football Italia reports that the Old Lady have three names in their mind to replace the legendary centre-back: Antonio Rudiger, Gleison Bremer and Nikelo Milenkovic.

Rudiger’s future at Chelsea is up in the air, with his contract expiring this summer. The German defender is demanding higher wages to continue at Stamford Bridge, whilst the Blues’ negotiations over a new deal have hit a stumbling block due to the sanctions placed by the UK Government.

Barcelona were also in contact with the German defender’s agent, but a move is now apparently ruled out after the Catalans reached an agreement to extend Ronald Araujo’s contract.

Nonetheless, Juve could still struggle to meet the 29-year-old’s demands due to the club’s financial instability.

Torino’s Bremer is another player on the wishlist, but Juve are likely to lose out on him, with fellow rivals Inter Milan reportedly leading the race.

The Brazilian centre-back has been showing great progress in recent years with Juve’s Turin rivals.

The Bianconeri are also keeping tabs on Nikola Milenkovic, who has grown from strength to strength at Fiorentina.

The 25-year-old is currently one of the best young centre-backs in Serie A, and he is contracted to La Viola until 2023.

However, he could force out an exit this summer as his compatriot Dusan Vlahovic did months ago to take the next big step in his career.

Juve are on good terms with La Viola after Vlahovic’s deal, and now they could use their relationship to strike a deal for his Serbian teammate Milenkovic.
