Manchester United midfielder Paulo Pogba looks to be on his way out after meeting Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo, reports FootMercato.
The French midfielder’s contract at Old Trafford expires this summer, and he is unlikely to sign an extension, as he recently stated his disappointment with the club over the lack of trophies.
PSG have been heavily linked with the French World Cup winner for a while, and they have now stepped up their interest.
Leonardo brought forth PSG’s desire to sign Pogba during the meeting, while the midfielder has also apparently reciprocated that his family is interested in moving to the French Capital.
Les Parisiens were close to capturing the 29-year-old during the last summer window, but the move fell through due to the arrival of Lionel Messi.
The Old Lady would struggle to afford the astronomical wages of Pogba due to their financial condition, while Los Blancos have reportedly turned their attention towards his compatriot Aurelien Tchouameni.
Tchouameni, perhaps, also turns out to be a target for Les Parisiens this summer as they seek to reinforce the midfield ranks.
PSG might be well aware of Pogba’s struggles over the years at Man Utd, but they are hoping to see the best version of him – the one which is associated with the French national team.
Les Parisiens also have to strengthen the options in the middle of the park, with the likes of Julian Draxler and Ander Herrera linked with an exit.
