Arsenal cool their interest in Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Arsenal have cooled their interest in signing Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to The Telegraph.

The forward has endured an injury-plagued campaign on the blue half of Merseyside having made just 11 Premier League appearances for the Toffees this term.

Calvert-Lewin is yet to find the back of the net since August when he began the season on fire, scoring three times in as many games.

He has previously been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium but the latest reports suggest the Gunners could turn their attention elsewhere.

Jonathan David and Darwin Nunez are potential options for Arsenal, while the Londoners are also reportedly monitoring Victor Osimhen and Lautaro Martinez.

Both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are in the final months of their contracts, although the former could be offered a new deal.

Mikel Arteta’s men suffered a 3-0 defeat against Crystal Palace on Monday which has blown the top-four race wide open once again.

Arsenal are level on points with Tottenham Hotspur but have a game in hand on Antonio Conte’s men, who they trail only on goal difference with the sides still to meet in the penultimate week of the season.
