La Liga Matchday 29 Fixtures: El Clasico dominates the weekend

La Liga fans are in for a treat this weekend as Real Madrid and Barcelona go head-to-head in the latest El Clasico at the Bernabeu Stadium on Sunday.

Madrid head into the game ten points clear at the top of the La Liga table, and it would be a massive shock if they failed to clinch the title.

With the top two scorers in La Liga playing up front, it’s hard to deny Madrid, especially at home.

However, Barca will be keen to prove a point after showing plenty of signs of improvement under manager Xavi.

Madrid triumphed 2-1 in the reverse fixture early in the season, but the Catalan giants will be going all out to seek revenge.

The latest El Clasico clash will be broadcast live on TV in the UK and will also be available to watch via La Liga live streaming sites, along with other La Liga games this weekend.

The other standout game in La Liga is also on Sunday as Sevilla welcome Real Sociedad to the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

The home side are on course to finish runners-up behind Sevilla but face a tough task against a team still eyeing a top-four finish.

Fellow top-four hopefuls Real Betis are also in action on Sunday as they visit Celta Vigo. Betis are fifth in the standings, two points behind Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

Atletico will bid to boost their hopes of finishing in the top four when they travel to face Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.

Diego Simeone’s side will be in a buoyant mood after dumping Manchester United out of the Champions League in midweek.

There is an eye-catching game towards the foot of the table as relegation battling Alaves face Granada at the Mendizorrotza Stadium.

Alaves are currently inside the drop zone, but a win on Saturday would move them level on points with their opponents.

The latest round of La Liga fixtures gets underway on Friday as Athletic Bilbao take on Getafe at the San Mames Stadium.
