The draw for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup has been completed.
The previous round gave us some intense matches. Middlesbrough pulled off another giant-killing, knocking out Tottenham Hotspur in extra time following Josh Coburn’s strike.
Chelsea almost joined Spurs in embarrassment, as Luton Town gave them a tough game. However, the Blues managed to come from behind to win 3-2 thanks to goals by Saul Niguez, Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku.
Manchester City and Liverpool made it through reasonably comfortably, defeating Peterborough United and Norwich City respectively.
Crystal Palace and Southampton also qualified with home victories against Stoke City and West Ham United.
Meanwhile, there are two fixtures still to be played. First, Everton host non-league Boreham Wood. Then on Monday, Nottingham Forest will welcome Huddersfield Town to the City Ground.
Each tie in the quarter-finals has at least one top-flight side. One all-Premier League tie is guaranteed, while there could be one more depending on the result of Everton’s tie with Boreham Wood.
The winners of the quarter-finals will book a trip to Wembley Stadium for the semi-finals. The ties will take place from March 18-20.
